UK: Tesco to triple food collection points

Tesco is planning to triple the number of drive through grocery collection points this year for shoppers who prefer to collect their own on-line shopping, rather than waiting for a delivery.

This means that the supermarket chain will have 150 Click & Collect drive through pods by the end of the year.

Tesco has said it will spend $1.6 billion to bolster its online presence and refresh its stores. Online sales are the fastest growing UK grocery channel and sales are expected to be 68% higher by 2015.
