France: Leclerc wins market share

The French food chain Leclerc has grown, winning 18.6% of the French consumers market share in the months April and May. In its rise it beats Intermarché and Carrefour.

Carrefour has stepped back by 0.8% with a market share of 11.1%, while Intermarché now stands at 12.6%.

Other major groups are slowing down such as Auchan (8.4% share with -0.3% in terms of growth), Carrefour Market (7.6% and -0.7%) and Géant Casino (2.6% and -0.2%).
