Luxembourg supermarket open online drive-in

The Auchan hypermarket in Luxembourg is a much loved buying address for the consumer. But now with the new service they want to attract more customers: AuchanDrive. AuchanDrive intends to become a simple online order system, which combines the advantages of regular trading with the speed of a drive-in counter.

Manager Olivier Heron about the AuchanDrive concept: "The client will be able to choose online meat, yoghurt, fruit and vegetables from amongst 12,000 products. The client places his order via our website, after which we will supply the goods from our products in own warehouse. The advantage is that fruit and vegetables are offered, which are stored at the ideal temperature. In addition the client needs less than 5 minutes to collect his order."

In France at Auchan the drive-in concept has already been used successfully for eight years. Whether the concept will be as successful in Luxembourg? Heron: "The concept is completely new in Luxembourg. But once they have tried it they will accept it positively!"
