Frosts damage fruits across Hungary

Up to 50% of certain Hungarian fruit crops have been affected by Spring frosts, according to head of Hungarian growers' association FruitVeB, Béla Mártonffy.

Mártonffy said 25-30% of last year's crops were damaged by Spring frosts, but this year's frost, unlike in 2011, affected the entire country.

He said that the hardest hit were stone fruit - apricots, peaches, cherries and plums.
