Israel suspends carrots to Russia

The Vegetable Growers Association in Israel has decided to suspend carrot exports to Russia for three weeks, according to government radio. Association Secretary Meir Yifrach said the decision to freeze the exports followed a decision by Russia to pay less for the carrots.

Israel exports 27,000 tons of carrots per month to Russia for a total of 300,000 tons per year.
