Pepper growers Geert, Pascal and Joeri van de Sande (Kwekerij Sandeland):
"NL: "Pentakeep has proved itself with us"
Geert, Pascal and Joeri van de Sande of Kwekerij Sandeland grow red peppers in
on an area of 8.3 HA in Nootdorp, the Netherlands. The growers, who are connected to Paprika NL, last year tested Pentakeep in two sections of 3,000 m2. Then only after the third planting a start was made with the Japanese fertilizer. This year Pentakeep is used on the total area.
"We checked the plants regularly last year and it was striking that the plants grew better with more shine on the leaves" Geert van de Sande says . "We noticed an even higher production of about 5% in the sections where we used Pentakeep. Also we had less loss than on the plants where we did not use Pentakeep."
The Pentakeep was applied by means of the Venturi system, so that growers know the condition per section. Kwekerij Sandeland apply a litre of Pentakeep per HA every two weeks. "We do not believe in cure-alls, but Pentakeep has proven itself with us" Geert concludes.
