US: Higher compensation rates for plum pox virus

Stone fruit farms plagued by plum pox virus will see higher compensation rates for their losses thanks to a recent federal decision.

A U.S. Department of Agriculture decision passed earlier this month will increase the compensation rate, which is a cost share program between federal and state, for the first time since 2000, according to a state Agriculture and Markets press release.
