Romania: Cora to expand with 210 million Euro loan

Louis Delhaize Group, which runs the Cora hypermarket network in Romania, will use a 210 million Euro loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to open 17 new hypermarkets in the country. This will bring the total of stores in the country to 25.

The loan will help to fund a project that will cost, in total, somewhere in the region of 400 million Euro.

The bulk of the new hypermarkets will be located in regional cities and will include sustainable energy solutions.
