UK shoppers frustrated with mini-cauliflower

Shoppers in the UK are frustrated and have been flooding their local supermarkets with complaints over the tiny heads of cauliflower they have been finding on shelves. Many of these shoppers have been posting these pictures online which have been going viral due to their comedic nature, with heads of cauliflower small enough to fit into a tiny tea cup.

Asda shopper, Joanne Sutherland, 43, from Nottinghamshire, said her cauliflower contained just a single floret.

“I was laughing to myself. How can they allow it to go on the shelves if it’s that tiny?”

Farmers have responded, blaming the small size of the cauliflower on a recent cold snap that occurred at the end of November. This happened to take place just as the crops were hitting maturity, stunting their growth. They expect sizes to be back to normal in time for Christmas this year.
