The new variety, 605271 of the "Gedera-Syngenta Seeds" company, which doesn't even have a name yet, has been selected as the finest tomato in Israel. Chef Eyal Shani, known as Mr. Tomato, headed a special judging team that selected the winning tomato in Israel.
This forms part of the "Agromshov" international agricultural exhibition taking place in the Nation Buildings in Jerusalem. In second place was the Lutz tomato from the "Top Seeds" company, and in third place was the Whitney tomato from the "Hazare" company.
The cherry tomato variety 605271 of "Gedera-Syngenta Seeds" - is the big winner in the delicious tomato competition in Israel.
The judging team examined the different varieties of tomato,15 in number, according to a series of indicators ranging from texture, hardness-softness level, color, and of course the taste.
