Rob Kent, an Australian farm-gate exporter, said the last few weeks have been a whirlwind since relocating to Singapore in mid-January to be 'the man on the ground' there.
Working directly with many farms across Australia, Kent Exports facilitates the exports of a number of Australian growers into the SE Asian markets.

“I have developed strong relationships with some of Australia’s best fruit and vegetable growers and I am now based closer to my markets, to monitor trends and identify opportunities to grow exports of Australia’s premium fresh produce,” Kent explains.
"It has been very busy with meetings and getting the family settled. Meanwhile business still goes on and I have orders coming in all the time, which is great," said Rob. "The reason for moving to Singapore was to open more doors and we already have a range of new customer enquiries. It's not just about facilitating exports into Singapore but into the whole of South East Asia."

"A lot of growers are quite happy to just grow the produce and let someone else take care of the shipping, marketing and dealing with the end customer, this is where I come in. I am constantly being approached by exporters from various countries and not just in Australia, a lot of people are looking for someone to represent them on the ground out here.
"Every day we strive to do the right thing for our farm-gate producers through the cold chain, all the way through to our customers. That’s the foundation of the Kent Exports success."
