In addition to the characteristics of red-fleshed pomelo, the peel and the spongy texture layer of the Sanhong honey pomelo is light, and the flesh is rose red. The pomelo is big with a thin peel, and the flesh is seedless and brightly colored. It tastes juicy, soft, sweet and slightly sour. With its characteristics of unique taste and early-ripening, the Sanhong honey pomelo is popular among consumers.
"Our batch of Sanhong honey pomelo comes from Hainan, and the weight of each is 0.85-1.25 kg. Hainan has had good weather this year, and the quality of the fruit is very good. This season we have shipped 220 tons of honey pomelo, and the repurchase rate is also good. At present, about 5 tons of tailings have not been sold. In terms of price, the recent price of Hainan honey pomelo is around 5 RMB/piece, which is about the same as last year," Mr. Wei said.
In addition to the Hainan honey pomelo, Shandong Fuji apples are also selling well. “This year, Shandong’s apple production area is high-yield, and the large volume on the market has caused prices to fall. In addition, the continuous rain in the earlier period caused the early-ripening Fuji in some production areas south of Yan’an to be poorly colored, and the fruit surface was not bright. There are even some apples that have turned green and suffer water cracks, and the overall size of the early-ripening Fuji is not as good as in previous years. But the quality of our batch is not bad," according to Mr. Wei.
"Our sales channels are mainly for major communities and group purchases. Since the launch of Apple in the market, we have sold a total of about 40 tons of goods, and currently, there are about 10 tons of inventory. The price is around 1.8 RMB/kg."
The Shenzhen Mingchen Agricultural Products Co., Ltd. has 11 planting bases. The company's sales channels include supplying to chain restaurants, schools, and e-commerce platforms.
