Azerbaijan apple exports up 35% in 2025

Azerbaijan exported 71,400 tons of apples worth US$50.2 million between January and September 2025, according to data from the State Statistical Committee. Export volumes rose 35 per cent year on year, while export value increased 46 per cent.

Russia remained the primary destination. Shipments totalled 61,200 tons, up 39 per cent from the same period last year, with a value of US$42.1 million, an increase of 45 per cent. Exports to Türkiye reached 2,800 tons valued at US$2.8 million, with no recorded supply to this market a year earlier.

The United Arab Emirates received 2,400 tons, down 20 per cent in volume but up 18 per cent in value at US$2.3 million. Kazakhstan imported 2,900 tons, an 11 per cent decrease, with a value of US$1.2 million, down 10 per cent. Shipments to Uzbekistan totalled 621 tons, 60 per cent lower year on year, valued at US$733,000, a decline of 46 per cent.

In 2025, Azerbaijan also exported apples to Guinea and Libya for the first time in 14 years, based on publicly available foreign trade statistics dating back to 2011. Exports to Guinea reached 22.3 tons valued at US$22,300, while shipments to Libya totalled 206 tons valued at US$220,000.
