The aim is to align procedures and improve the speed and safety of trade while strengthening technical confidence between both sides.
Dutch officials noted that the Dutch Secretary of Defense is expected to visit Brazil for meetings with the Plant Health Department of the Ministry of Agriculture (DSV/MAPA) to address technical aspects of plant and animal health. They also referenced a memorandum of understanding between the Dutch Ministry of Agriculture and MAPA, which includes the creation of a Technical Working Group dedicated to cooperation on innovation, sustainability, and regulatory improvements.
The meeting highlighted the importance of Brazil–Netherlands cooperation for advancing horticulture and supporting seed and seedling production initiatives.
