Azerbaijan cuts Turkish produce imports

Between January and September 2025, Azerbaijan imported US$15.87 million worth of fruit and vegetable products from Türkiye, according to the Turkish Exporters Assembly. This represents a 9.6 per cent decrease compared to the same period in 2024.

In September 2025 alone, exports of Turkish fruit and vegetables to Azerbaijan reached US$1.78 million, down 5.7 per cent year-on-year.

Overall, Türkiye's fruit and vegetable exports in the first nine months of 2025 fell by 2.8 per cent to US$1.90 billion. In September, exports recorded a marginal 0.1 per cent decline to US$226.76 million.

The main destinations for Turkish fruit and vegetable exports during this period were the United States, Germany, and the United Kingdom. Exports to the United States amounted to US$270 million, down 13.3 per cent compared to the previous year. Germany imported US$255.25 million worth of products, a decline of 4.5 per cent. The United Kingdom imported US$136.14 million, a decrease of 0.1 per cent.
