PEI potato planting delayed by rain

The potato planting season in Prince Edward Island (PEI) has been delayed due to extensive rainfall during spring. However, farmers are optimistic that the recent hot weather conditions will aid them in compensating for lost time.

Troy Rennie of Dock Corner Farms Ltd, located in Elmsdale, stated, "It's certainly a switch from last year, for sure, but we're still getting the job done." Rennie mentioned that finalizing the planting by June 10 would be satisfactory.
