Mango export activities for the Bangladesh 2025 season have been initiated, marking the dispatch of the initial consignment to five countries, including the United States and Germany. A volume of 13 metric tons of mangoes has been transported to the U.S., Germany, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Bahrain.
The inauguration of the export process was conducted by Agriculture and Home Affairs Adviser Lt Gen (retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury at a ceremony held at the Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council auditorium. In his address, Jahangir Alam Chowdhury highlighted the ongoing project aimed at augmenting mango production and export levels.
Jahangir Alam Chowdhury stated, "Agricultural incentives will be given considering the needs of mango farmers. Farmers will get improved mango seedlings from the horticulture center at a low price." Furthermore, he advocated for an increase in mango seedling production through incentives at the horticulture centers, directed at relevant authorities.
