Bagging line includes updated features

“We value the opportunity to engage with the industry and our customers ― our team is always glad to talk about the latest advancements in both flexible packaging and packaging equipment,” said Aaron Fox, president of Fox Solutions and vice president of Fox Packaging. “We are committed to being a source of knowledge to the challenges and opportunities of the market and to always be positioned as our customer’s partner in support of their current programs and for their program growth.”

Jen Doxey, director of sales, Fox Packaging, looks forward to representing the companies at the show and meeting its customer base in person. “We value the feedback of our customers and strive to understand their needs, challenges, and goals. By offering competitive solutions and developing resources that fit their current operations, we can help brands achieve their desired outcomes through strong partnerships,” said Doxey.

At the show, the company’s equipment with updated features can be found at its booth. These include

Fox Solutions Pouch Bagger, FSPB2: This pouch bagger features a new finger system that grabs the pouch bag from the bag delivery from above the handle area, allowing the bagger to retrieve the pouch bag more consistently, the finger system then moves the bag to station two for bag opening, then station three for product drop, then to station four for bag closure

This pouch bagger features a 360-degree field of view camera with a rotatable lens, an addition to the pouch bagger for networking capability, statistics and remote troubleshooting for service. The addition of this camera allows the operator to monitor the pouch bagging process from any angle and adjust the settings accordingly. The camera also collects data on the performance and efficiency of the pouch bagger and sends it to a network server for analysis and optimization. Furthermore, the camera enables remote troubleshooting for service by allowing the technician to access the camera feed and diagnose any issues or errors without having to be physically present at the pouch bagger location. This saves time and money for both the operator and the service provider.

Fox Solutions Wicketed Bagger, FSWB3: The Fox Solutions Wicketed bagger is a versatile and efficient machine that can handle various product types. This bagger features a v-belt system that separates the products and prevents them from bridging. This allows the bagger to work with a wider range of commodities and reduces the time and cost of changing over. For higher production rates, the Wicketed bagger comes in a double format that offers faster speeds and more capacity.

Additional featured equipment by Newtec includes the:

  • Newtec CW 5000: This checkweigher is compact and efficient. It can weigh bags up to 11 pounds with an accuracy of 0.01 pounds and can handle up to 30 bags per minute. It is compatible with both wicketed and pouch baggers, so it can integrate into an existing production line. This checkweigher will help ensure quality control and reduce waste in the packaging process with a small footprint.
  • Newtec 4009 XB2: The Newtec 4009 XB2 is a high-performance weigher that can handle a variety of commodities, such as potatoes, onions, carrots, citrus fruits and more. It can integrate with the wicketed and pouch baggers, allowing for fast and accurate packaging of different products. The Newtec 4009 XB2 can achieve speed rates of up to 120 weighings per minute, depending on the product size and weight. It also has a high operational processing capacity, with a maximum tonnage of 12 tons per hour.

Fox Packaging will also showcase its full line of flexible packaging. With its recent investment in pouch bag conversion, the team will have on display its Fox Stand-Up line with reinforced handles in both PE and PP applications. It’s important to the company that it continues to communicate that it is a domestic partner--all of its packaging is manufactured in Texas and its fleet delivers across the United States. Through its pouch bag program, it’s able to offer a reduction in carbon emissions in transport, as pouch bags weigh less than other packaging types.

The company’s packaging is reusable and reworkable, whether that reuse is in its original function as a bag, or as an upcycled application because it reduces the amount of waste generated and the environmental impact of packaging. It also offers convenience and functionality to consumers, such as resealability, portability and durability, as well as lowering the costs and increasing the profits for manufacturers as they can use less material and energy to produce and transport the packaging.

“These are conversations we encourage customers to have with our team in our booth because conversations lead to projects and projects lead to industry innovations,” said Victoria Lopez, marketing & brand manager, Fox Packaging. “These conversations build real-life scenarios where we can collect data that help us define what is realistic for our industry.”
