New berry products get premium treatment

Naturipe Farms, a producer of fresh berries, returns to IFPA’s Global Produce & Floral Show this year with a slate of new products. For the first time, Naturipe will showcase its new Sweet Selections premium product line and Naturipe Snacks™ Berry Buddies. The company’s booth, #3175, will also feature other products, including fresh berries and scrumptious snacks.

The Sweet Selections line will officially launch as a part of its robust premium product portfolio and feature the company’s proprietary berry varieties that have been specially bred and selected for their flavor and overall eating experience. At the show, Naturipe will display the first of its limited-availability Sweet Selections Blackberries and Blueberries.

“We’ve been hard at work on the Sweet Selections line behind the scenes and we knew that the show would be the perfect place to introduce it to our customers,” said John Johnston, director of premium products. “These flavor-forward berries are sure to be a big hit and we look forward to sharing them with our industry colleagues.”

On the value-added side, the company has been working on developing fun and healthy new products, which has most recently culminated in the creation of the Naturipe Snacks Berry Buddies. The Berry Buddies were designed to fill a gap in the market for an on-the-go breakfast and snack option that combines flavor, fresh fruit and fun. Between the kid-friendly portions and new flavor pairings, visitors won’t want to miss being among some of the very first to get a glimpse of Berry Buddies.

“We have found success with the existing line of snacks, but we noticed a gap in the market for grab-and-go breakfast options that were healthy but would still appeal to kids,” said Steven Ware, vice president and general manager of value-added fresh.

Show attendees are invited to stop by the booth where the Naturipe team will be showing the new products.
