According to the latest cold storage report of the US Department of Agriculture, the table grape stocks registered on October 15 in the US market were lower than those of the previous two seasons.
The bimonthly report stated that as of a few days ago, 10.6 million boxes of grapes had been registered in warehouses on the West Coast, compared to 11.1 million in the same period last year and 11.7 million in 2019. It is however, still an increase from the 9.3 million boxes registered on September 31 this year.
Compared with last year, some of the main changes in the number of specific breeds and breed groups Autumn Crisp (up to 839,000 from 486,000), Autumn Royal (up to 356,000 from 231,000), Allison (up to 1.1 million from 582,000), Timco (down to 194,000 from 589,000).
