The Association of Chambers of Commerce India and the Nigerian Association Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture have signed a memorandum of Understanding to boost agriculture and agro-related trade between the two countries.
The agreement should also help boost Nigeria-Indian cooperation to meet export targets of agricultural commodities such as pulses, cashew nuts, sesame seeds, and shear butter.
According to an article of guardian.ng, India is producing 275 million tonnes of food grains. It is the second largest producer of food and vegetables, and one of the leading exporters of food and agricultural commodities to the tune of 40 billion dollars this year running.
