From October, the Gansu onion price has seen polarization. Because of this year's weather, the Gansu onion production per hectare has decreased. The price for quality produce is now high, while inferior produce is cheap. There are now mostly inferior products left. The price differences are rather large, and will probably not change much. The price for yellow onions is now between 600 and 1000 yuan per ton, and the price for purple onions is between 800 and 1300 yuan per ton.
