Bulgaria: 6.17 million Euro in additional coupled support paid to producers
The Bulgarian State Fund Agriculture (SFA) has transferred 12,080,000 Lev (about 6.17 million Euro) under the coupled support schemes for fruit and vegetables corresponding to the 2016 campaign, as announced by the SFA.
The funds have been paid into the accounts of nearly 14,000 open-ground and greenhouse growers as a compensatory supplement to the support that they received in late March. The additional payment has been made after the administrative checks of the applicants' records.
The supplementary payment under the Scheme for Coupled Support for Fruit (SP) amounts to 7,123,000 Lev (3.64 million Euro); that under the Scheme for Coupled Support for Vegetables (OZ) stands at 4,228,000 Lev (2.16 million Euro), while 729,000 Lev (372,591 Euro) have been transferred under the Scheme for Coupled Support for Greenhouse Vegetables (OCO). The payment rates were set by Order No. RD 09-442 of 7 June 2017 of the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry.
Together with the subsidies paid in March under the three schemes, the total amount paid in coupled support has reached nearly 77 million Lev (about 39.35 million Euro).
