Uzbekistan is ready to export agricultural products to East Kazakhstan
The governor of the region of East Kazakhstan, Danial Akhmetov, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Kazakhstan, Ikrom Nazarov, discussed opportunities for mutual cooperation, as reported by the press service of East Kazakhstan.
East Kazakhstan has developed a roadmap for interregional cooperation with the Republic of Uzbekistan, outlining promising areas of activity, such as agriculture and engineering.
As revealed in the message, the parties discussed the supply of fruits and vegetables from Uzbekistan, reports IA Kazakh-Zerno.
According to Ikrom Nazarov, the country produced 18 million tonnes of products last year. By 2020, it is planned to increase this figure to 25 million tonnes.
East Kazakhstan is one of the regions where Uzbekistani plant growers would like to supply their products. The lists and volumes of the necessary vegetable products have already been determined.
"We are ready to supply fruit and vegetable products centrally, and then the price for them will drop," said Ikrom Nazarov.
