Microgreens are young plants of numerous vegetable species harvested only 10-20 days after sowing, i.e. as soon as the first real leaves are developed. At the moment, the products include red cabbage, pink radish, red radish, rocket, watercress and mustard.
"Micro-orto Red Purple radishes have a sturdy filament with white-purplish trunks and red-purple leaves. Suitable for salads, sandwiches and stir-fries, they are hot with a crunchy consistency, good flavour and appealing. Thanks to their colour, they are perfect to decorate dishes," explains manager Andrea Farnedi.
Micro-Orto pink radishes are rich in nutrient principles such as vitamins, enzymes and trace elements. They have the crunchy texture typical of julienned vegetables. Sturdy filaments with a white-purplish trunk and green leaves. The seeds produce microgreens rich in vitamins that can be added to appetisers or many other dishes. They favour digestion and metabolism and contain vitamin B1, B2 and C.

Rocket microgreens have a delicate yet persistent flavour and, precisely for this characteristic, they are especially good when paired with cheese.
Among the Micro-Orto products, Mustard is definitely the spiciest and its flavour is distinctively perceptible while chewing. It is a natural condiment perfect for salads and dips. Mustard is used mostly on grilled meat and contains vitamins A, B1, B2 and C.
Watercress microgreens are a remineralising product due to their high vitamin, water, trace element and enzyme content. Vitamin K is particularly important in the diet of children, people with heart disease and people with liver and gall-bladder problems and can help regenerate the intestinal bacterial flora. In addition, microgreens also have toning, diuretic and anti-asthma properties.
