The Russian Ambassador in Bulgaria, Anatoly Makarov, is touring various Bulgarian regions and looking for opportunities for cooperation.
"We are ready to work with Bulgaria. We will wait for the new cabinet to give this a push," the diplomat explained.
Last week he was in Haskovo, where he met with the governor Minko Angelov and the mayor Dobri Belivanov.
The ambassador's goal is to get acquainted with the Bulgarian regions. After his meetings in Haskovo, Makarov said that there were opportunities for cooperation in business and in the field of tourism.
The ambassador pledged to send a sales representative to Haskovo to discuss the specific details. "We are interested in Bulgarian fruit and vegetables for the Russian market," the ambassador admitted.
