The State Fund for "Agriculture" (SFA) has started paying the subsidies under the schemes of coupled support for fruit and vegetables corresponding to the 2016 campaign.
Applicants for financial assistance had until 31 January to present the necessary forms and documents to the SFA. Nearly 14,000 producers of fruits, vegetables and greenhouse vegetables will receive support under the schemes.
The total amount of funds paid as coupled support for fruit amounts to over 30.4 million Lev (about 15.53 million Euro).
Meanwhile, the coupled support for vegetables amounts to over 29.1 million Lev (about 14.87 million Euro), and that for greenhouse vegetables has reached over 4.2 million Lev (about 2.15 million Euro).
The subsidies granted under these programs will be paid from 1 to 10 April.
