Samara, Russia now able to import fruit & veg from Ivory Coast

Samara Oblast, a region south-east of Moscow and not far from the border with Kazakhstan imports products directly from Ivory Coast.

The Rosselkhoznadzor Regional Office (Federal Veterinary and Phytosanitary Service) has stated that fruits and vegetables from Ivory Coast are allowed to enter the country only through direct imports. This directive took effect at the beginning of March 2017.

For the Samara region, which had already established direct relations with suppliers located in West Africa, the products are now imported only without intermediaries.
