Employees of the Rosselkhoznadzor have seized 19.5 tonnes of Turkish tomatoes, pomegranates and courgettes in Moscow.

According to the press service of the department, this was done after an inspection of a vehicle en route from Belarus. Inspectors discovered products that were banned from being imported into the Russian Federation without any accompanying phytosanitary documents.

Sources from the Rosselkhoznadzor added that the seized fruits and vegetables will be destroyed, in accordance with applicable law.
