Indonesia opens up to Peruvian grapes and tangerines

The Indonesian Government has allowed the entry of Peruvian table grapes and tangerines into its market in a new partnership.

In partnership with Peru's Trade Office, based in Yakarta (OCEX Yakarta), Indonesia's Foreign Trade and Tourism Ministry (Mincetur) currently strives to boost exports to other Asian countries.

Indonesia's Agricultural Quarantine Office cleared the entry of the fruit in the later part of 2016, Mincetur highlighted.

The partnership does not plan to stop at grapes and tangerines however, with plans to have avocados, blueberries, garlic, onions, other grape varieties and asparagus hoping to find their way into Indonesia as well.
