Crimean cauliflower prices rising sharply

Cauliflower prices have been rapidly growing in Crimea thanks to an increase in trading activity before the New Year holidays, according to Fruit-Inform. Moreover, the low supply of cauliflower currently in Crimea is also marked as a cause for the rising price.

In the meantime, sellers at Krymskiy Privoz Wholesale Market offer their cauliflowers at USD 1.15-2.46/kg, depending on quality. For comparison, prices were not higher than USD 1.31/kg at the end of the past week.

It should also be noted that cauliflower prices also were growing in the same period of 2015. However, they were significantly higher: minimum prices stood at RUB USD 1.96/kg.
