Limited sales volume for high quality apples

October is the season for apples. Judging by the current market situation, this year's apple price is less expensive than those of other years. In 2014, the apple plantation area in China increased a lot due to a price surge. However, last year's apple price was not high due to the output increase and obstacles for export. When it comes to this year, its purchase price is around 1.2 Yuan cheaper than last year. For example, last year the level 1 and level 2 apples' purchase price was around 8.4 Yuan per kilo, while its price this year was only between 7.4-8 Yuan per kilo.

Regarding Shandong apples, thanks to a dry season this year, it tastes more delicious and contains a higher sugar level. However, it is also due to the dry season that its skin faces some issues. As a consequence, high quality apples have limited sales volume in the market.
