Supply of Venezuelan fruit & veg to Curaçao stops

The supply of fruit and vegetables from Venezuela to Curaçao, a Dutch Caribbean island, via the floating market has stopped. According to customs director Jules Ilario, the authorities in Venezuela decided not to allow the boats to depart to Curaçao because the product needs to be sold on the local market.

The supply was reduced by the crisis situation in Venezuela, but up until now, it was not visible from the stalls at the quay in Curaçao.
