Mosgorstat compared the cost of goods and services in June 2015 and in December 2014. In the past half a year, the price of several types of vegetables in Moscow grew by one and half times.
According to the data from Mosgorstat, since December last year, to this June, food products in the capital’s stores rose by 12.7%. Among fruit and vegetables, the most significant increase in prices were seen in beetroot - 1.8 times, carrots and garlic - by 1.5 times, frozen vegetables, dried fruits , nuts and grapes - by 1.4 times. The price of lemons increased by a third, the price of bananas, onions, cabbage and potatoes increased between 10.6 - 26.6%.
