French Netto cuts prices for February

The French hard discount chain Netto (not to be confused with its Danish namesake) is aiming to sell FMCGs in large quantities for the remainder of the month.

It said in a statement to French media that between now and 1 March, it wishes to sell stock "in bulk." It has initiated a marketing campaign in conjunction with this.

Among the items it wishes to to offload at reduced prices are three-kilogramme packets of rice, pizzas (three per packet), and green beans (a dozen tins to a packet).

Netto, which is owned by the Les Mousquetaires group (of which Intermarché is the primary subsidiary), is also offering a kilogramme of cordon bleu for €2.79, and three kilogrammes of chicken legs for €2.09.
