France: Carrefour tests first shopping list on smartwatch

Carrefour has joined forces with Publicis Shopper and Think&Go to bring its customers a brand-new smartwatch shopping experience Now, customers who have a Samsung Gear S watch and a compatible Samsung smartphone can access their shopping lists and their loyalty cards.

Customers who have tried the new C-où mobile app since it was launched at Carrefour's smart Villeneuve-la-Garenne store last April have been particularly won over by it - thanks to its practical and ergonomically-designed "shopping list" feature.

Carrefour is currently working with Publicis Shopper and French start-up Think&Go, testing the concept of doing one's shopping while looking at one's smartwatch.
Basically, customers draw up their shopping list on their Samsung smartphone using the new C-où mobile app, and then magically, the list appears on their smartwatch. The list is then organised by category. They have only to glance at their wrists to see it and can update it as they shop. And when they arrive at the checkout, they can use any advantages they may have on their loyalty card - their smartwatch can display it.
