On 17 October, Carrefour Poland opened a new hypermarket in Piła, which is also the retailer's 96th hypermarket in Poland. The company plans to continue expanding with new hypermarkets in newly built shopping malls in Warsaw (Wilanów Gallery and North Gallery) and the completion of a retail park in Sochaczew.

The new hypermarket is located next to Piła's railway station. It has a sales hall with an area of 3.5 thousand square metres where customers will find over 30,000 different products. The distinguishing feature of Piła's store is its wide selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as meat and sausages.

The next hypermarket opening is scheduled for next year in Wołominie and the company will also continue the modernisation of already operating hypermarkets and supermarkets.
