X5 Retail Group is developing agribusiness
The retail business is not a priority for the agricultural company. "Detskoselsky" owns two factories that produce milk, vegetables and potatoes. Thus, the retail stores were opened just for the distribution of their own production.
By April 2014 there were 10 company stores in Saint Petersburg and its suburbs, at the present moment only three are left, others were closed about a month ago. X5 Group is considering the purchase of these shopping facilities of "Detskoselsky", the price is not specified.
It is to note that in Saint Petersburg the company X5 Retail Group has 15 hypermarkets “Karusel”, 37 “Perekrestok” and 245 “Pyaterochka”.
