Attending Fruit Attraction once again
Euroberry to exclusively distribute Pacific Deluxe raspberry in Europe and Morocco
The company Euroberry, renowned as the largest blueberry distributor in Europe, is gradually increasing its focus on the production of raspberries, whose production will amount to 1,500 tonnes of the variety Pacific Deluxe, which is sold exclusively by the firm in Europe and Morocco.
"Raspberries are perhaps the berry with the most developments at varietal level in recent years," explains Javier Rico, manager of Euroberry. "This means that there is interest in the industry and that consumers continue to look for alternatives to existing varieties. We have an action plan with an ambitious future.
It is a remontant variety with 2 distinct harvest periods, from September to December and from April to June. Its production mainly concentrates in Huelva (Spain), Portugal and Morocco, although Euroberry also covers shortages with produce from Mexico to ensure continuity of supply.
"Pacific Deluxe is one of the top raspberry varieties right now, with a long shelf-life, medium to large sizes and a very homogeneous calibre, as well as a bright and vivid colouring. It has a pleasant flavour, with a good balance of sugar and acidity, and can reach 14 degrees Brix in its best conditions," says Javier Rico, manager of Euroberry.
Furthermore, Javier Rico states that its profitability per hectare is interesting, as well as its ease in handling. "We have formed a group of experienced producers in growing raspberries, which further ensures the success of this project."
Euroberry has taken part in Fruit Attraction since the first edition
Euroberry will attend the next edition of Fruit Attraction, to be held from 15 to 17 October in Madrid, in order to meet with its regular customers in dates that are also optimal for the closing of overseas programmes (with Chile, Argentina and Peru). The company's flagship blueberry variety, Rocio, will be featured for the first time.
Euroberry will have its own stand with modern design and characteristic corporate image with vivid colours.
You can visit Euroberry at stand 9C05, Hall 9.
