UK: Nisa launches hotline to support Costcutter retailers wanting to re-join amid problems with P&H
Nisa said it is responding to accommodate upwards of 30 enquiries a day from retailers who are struggling to source stock after the two organisations split. “We are not here to make money from our members, but to make money for them; that’s a commitment that sets us apart from the competition,” said Neil Turton, Nisa CEO.
Nisa has also invested to maintain its supply chain service for Costcutter members to ensure they can trade efficiently through a crucial summer period. With a number of glitches in the P&H/Costcutter operation, Nisa said it is well placed to capitalise and the number of retailers interested in moving back was anticipated.
Former Costcutter retailer Paul Sohal, who owns a store in Crich, Derbyshire, was one such retailer to make the move. “We’re in the middle of the summer and it is vital we have product on our shelves to capitalise on the World Cup, Wimbledon and the Tour de France.
“Our deliveries through P&H were a shambles and we could have lost a lot of money had we not been able to move back to Nisa so smoothly. Our shelves are now full again and we’re looking forward to the many benefits of working directly with Nisa. Crisis averted.”
