2.3 billion Euro turnover for German fruit and vegetables
Production in Germany covers 37.5% of the domestic demand for vegetables. With fruit at 19.8%. A recent survey revealed that six in ten consumers check on the country of origin when buying fruit and vegetables, however, for four out of ten consumers, price is the top priority.
