Special Fruit renews packaging

Special Fruit presented various new packagings during the Fruit Logistica. "We have a new top seal packaging for the soft fruit. We noticed that this was demanded more by retailers. This means that the products can no longer fall out of the tubs. The seal is printed with the information the customer requests under the brand Berry Fresh or private label," says Sarah Hellemans. The benefits of top seal are that we can convey more information with the printed foil and the packaging is more environmentally friendly. There is less packaging in total and the products stay fresh for longer."

BestChoice
"We went in a completely different direction with our BestChoice assortment. Here we have placed the focus on authenticity. By printing the packaging with vegetables on a wooden background the products appear more 'natural'. To separate the fruit from the vegetables we added a colour, which stands out more."

Kwanza
Sarah indicates that in the area of soft fruit, they have been selling the Kwanza raspberry since last year. "It is very tasty and is rapidly gaining popularity. This raspberry is large and the reactions are positive. The Kwanza really stands out. We offer is in various countries."
