The most popular products were hard vegetables (e.g. cucurbitaceae, solanum and capsicum, 22,850 tons), stonefruit (15,200 tons), leaf vegetables (15,263 tons), top fruit and kiwis (14,465 tons), root vegetables (14,054) and citrus fruit (13,157), followed by exotic fruit and fresh-cut fruit and vegetables. 96.5% of the production was sold to the domestic market.
"In 2013, various fresh-cut processes were revised and the cold storage units and air conditioning plant were upgraded. As regards the new products, we started selling fresh fruit salads complete with dairy products (Duetto) and in new formats (Rondò, photo above). We also introduced the Agribologna premium range in the packed unwashed sector," adds Angelo Palma.
In Berlin, we will present our evolutions of the Premium brand, such as the new Pellerossa environmentally-friendly tomatoes.
The company will attend Fruit Logistica in Hall 2.2 - Stand A-02. Together with Angelo Palma, Franco Fornari, operations manager, Andrea Cacciari, purchasing office manager, Giovanni Veroni, Dario Guidi, H&R sales manager and Cinzia Ferrari, fresh-cut manager, will represent the company.
