London: Aldi boasts pop-up restaurant with master chef Novelli

Aldi goes Haute Cuisine: The German discounter want to open with the well-known master chef Jean-Christophe Novelli,in a pop-up restaurant - be it for one day only. The restaurant will, at only a few meters away from Oxford Street, in Portman Square, offer a four course meal by the hand of the master chef. All that at a spectacular price of 17.90 English Pounds (Euro 21,17).

The gimmick: the dishes ingredients are from the Aldi assortment. At Christmas time the discounter will offer a supplementary assortment, consisting of high-value products - according to Aldi UK "sourced from some of the best food and drink producers around".
