Croatia returns 34 tons of cucumbers to Macedonia

Croatia returned some 34 tons of cucumbers, suspected to be full of pesticides and chemicals, to Macedonia, Macedonian online news edition MKD reported.

The Macedonian vegetables delivered from Skopje underwent an inspection and a chemical analysis before being released at the market.

The Croatian Food Agency, however, detected high level of chemicals and pesticides. A following check was carried out by the Macedonian Food Agency, which eventually ordered an overall investigation on the case.
