Monoprix opens first Qatar store
The store, located in the district of Palm Twin Towers in Doha, will be Monoprix's 85th international store. Covering an area of 2,100sq m, the store comprises a mix of world food, fashion, home and health & beauty.
Ali Bin Ali said it wanted to "honour the know-how" of French cuisine by recreating a "marketplace" theme in the store comprising bakery, cheese, meat, fish and delicatessen foods.
Monoprix already has an international presence already, with partners in Tunisia, Libya and Lebanon. It also plans openings in Morocco in 2014.
The retailer also exports its Monoprix and Monoprix Gourmet brands to Brazil, Thailand and Hong Kong.
