ToolWorx awarded patent on SmartVision™ labeling system

ToolWorx Information Products, Michigan, announces that it has been awarded patent #8,485,429 for its SmartVision™ labeling system designed in response to the Produce Traceability Initiative (PTI). This unique labeling system allows produce growers to use standard graphics and markings to identify produce in containers and automatically print the associated PTI-compliant label, all without the use of a computer or mobile terminal. That’s because the company's system uses Intermec Smart Printers to do double duty as a computer and a printer, saving growers money and streamlining and error proofing their labeling operations.
