Canada: Great cherry harvest so far

The Lapins are almost ready and the harvest should begin in the North Okanagan as early as July 16th.



So far this season, for cherries generally, its been a great harvest. The weather has been co-operating, with beautiful sunny days and cooler nights, giving excellent sugar levels and firmness of fruit. Sizes are up and there are said to be promotable volumes of 8.5 row export cherries.

GAP and Food Safety
All of Global Fruit’s Growers and packinghouses have undergone their annual Global Good Agricultural Practices Audits at the end of June.



Global Fruit have also completed Tesco's Nuture, Marks and Spencer's Field2Fork and an IFS Pre-Assessment.
