US: Dole releases new banana dippers
The new snacks consist of frozen Dole banana slices, covered in dark chocolate. Dole says the dippers contain no more than 120 calories per serving.
The dippers are available in two flavours, Dark Chocolate and Dark Chocolate with Almonds. Dole seems to be aiming for women in the marketing of the new snacks.
"When it comes to snacking, we know women are looking for guilt-free treats, so we are excited to introduce the perfect pairing of fruit and chocolate," said Vanessa Beltran, Senior Business Manager at Dole Packaged Foods, LLC. "DOLE Banana Dippers can be enjoyed as a midday snack or served as a wonderful way to end a meal without having to worry about the waistline."
The new product has been released throughout the country and is retailing for between $3.49 and $3.99.
