The new Edeka market of Robert Aschoff in Kassel invited you since the end of October 2009 to a very extraordinary shop experience. In the vast space of a former industry hall situated at the Frankfurter Straße, a more than 2,800 m2 large foodstuff market has come to life. This shop not only offers the entire assortment of high quality foodstuffs, but makes the average 4,000 daily customers enthusiastic.
Robert Asschof had already been running an Edeka market in Kassel since 1997. As the selling area became too small during the years, he went looking for new shopping space, which he found 300m down the street. In a huge, old industry hall with ceilings of up to 9 metres high, the new supermarket started. "Our idea was to create a special shop experience for our clients. Thanks to pleasant details during outfitting of the sales area, individually designed shelf and ceiling elements and a special lighting concept we will achieved this exactly," according to Robert Aschoff.
"We fitted an individual lighting concept with a large number of high lights, which was built directed towards the large and high selling area. In addition they mainly wanted to come to a harmonious teamwork between the part of the shop at the window side, which receives a lot of light in the remainder of the shop.
"The entire shop has been provided with lights perfectly, and in general it is very beautiful. The turnover has now already risen far above expectations since moving. We are very satisfied." So are the customers because the owner is being approached more and more about the fantastic (light) atmosphere in the new supermarket.
